Founded on History and Quality
Metalife Industries Inc., established in 1964, began as a franchise under a different name, and founded and operated by engineers William Beatty & Robert Kockler, Sr. During the 1970s Robert L Kockler decided to leave the franchise and Incorporate Metalife Industries, Inc. The original application utilized a chromium process, born from Naval Research Laboratory's work during WWII, primarily for corrosive environments. After the war, this process proved exceptionally effective in wear applications like cutting tools, gauges, and drills.

Innovative Solutions
To date, Metalife continues to produce innovative solutions to surface wear and corrosion and improve the proprietary chromium application. In addition, in 1994 we added our highly advanced polymer coating called MLP. MLP is a coating that provides a hard, ductile and extremely slippery surface unlike any other coating available. MLP has been highly touted by customers and in manufacturing magazines. It has years of proven value in industries from mining to precision stamping.
Environmental Solutions
Environmentally, Metalife is in total compliance with the Environmental Protection Agencies strict requirement. Metalife is a completely closed loop system, therefore all rinse water and chemicals are reused and absolutely no discharge to the environment occurs. Metalife is also a participant in the United States EPA's Strategic Goals Program (SGP). The SGP is a voluntary program that encourages companies to go beyond just environmental compliance.
A Family Legacy
As a family-owned business, that reaches 3 generations long. Metalife is now owned and operated by Andrew Kockler a native of Western Pennsylvania and graduate from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
